Every fight promotion starts with a simple idea: give fighters a stage. Ultimate Beatdown has been doing exactly that since 2010, when Melvin "Overkill" Yeoh founded it in Johor Bahru — and grew it into Malaysia's longest-running MMA promotion.

Where did Ultimate Beatdown begin?

It started small: invitation-only fight nights in a Mount Austin gym back in 2010. From there it moved through the bars of Danga Bay and the rooftop of Plaza Sentosa, and on to mall arenas across Johor. Different venues, different eras — one mission throughout: give Malaysia its fight.

What has Ultimate Beatdown built?

More than a decade on, the numbers tell the story: 60+ events and 500+ bouts officiated, featuring fighters from 8+ countries — Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Korea, India, Pakistan, Australia and the USA. As a ONE FC Network partner, UB is plugged into the wider Asian MMA world.

It's been a launchpad, too. Fighters like Trestle Tan — who went on to ONE Championship — and Yadwinder Singh — who went on to WSOF — competed at Ultimate Beatdown on their way up.
